Announcing Christine “Chris” White as AHLA’s President Elect-Designate

Washington, DC - AHLA is pleased to announce that Christine “Chris” White has been appointed as the President-Elect Designate.   

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris as the President-Elect Designate,” said David S. Cade, Chief Executive Officer of AHLA. “Chris’s extensive experience and dedication to health law education align perfectly with AHLA’s mission. Her contributions have been pivotal to AHLA’s success, and we eagerly anticipate the valuable insights and leadership she will bring. We look forward to her official start following the Annual Meeting in San Diego on July 1, 2025.”  

White served on the AHLA Board of Directors from 2017 to 2023, holding positions such as Chair of the Governance Committee and the Association’s Secretary. She currently serves as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Northwell Health, where she is recognized for her strategic counseling and expertise in antitrust law and governance matters. As a long-standing AHLA member, White has made significant contributions, including leadership and membership on various committees and councils such as Finance, Governance, Membership-IDEA, and Practice Groups. She co-authored the publication "Antitrust and Health Care: A Comprehensive Guide," which received the FTC Award for Outstanding Scholarship in 2013. Chris also serves as a lecturer-in-law at Columbia Law School and a member of several strategic advisory boards.

"I am deeply honored to serve as AHLA's President Elect-Designate,” said White. “I look forward to focusing on enhancing access to care and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our health law community during my presidency."
