Approaching health care regulatory work is a daunting task. While all areas of law brim with their own legal jargon and lexicon, health care regulatory work is unique due to the variety of parties and number of regulations. Most laypeople and non-health care attorneys are familiar with entities such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or have heard of regulations such as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. But how many laypeople and non-health care attorneys are working with skilled nursing facilities, submitting investigational new drug applications, or counseling a client on the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework?
