U.S. Court in California Nixes Class Action Against Google over Alleged Health Care Data Collection

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California rejected July 22 a proposed class action against Google LLC alleging it violated federal and state law, as well as the company’s own privacy policies, by unlawfully tracking, collecting, and monetizing patients’ private health information through source code “secretly embedded” on health care provider websites.
