CBO Projects Uninsured Rate to Grow over Next Ten Years, But Still Below Pre-Pandemic Levels

The share of individuals without health insurance is projected to grow from an all-time low of 7.2% in 2023 to 8.9% in 2034, which is still lower than the pre-COVID pandemic rate of 10% in 2019, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reported June 18.
