CMS Approves California and Kentucky Requests for Medicaid Mobile Crisis Intervention Teams

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved July 20 proposals from California and Kentucky for community-based mobile crisis intervention teams to provide Medicaid crisis services, bringing the total to six states that have expanded access to community-based mental health and substance use crisis care through President Biden’s American Rescue Plan.
