HHS Consolidates AI, Cybersecurity Functions in Agency Reorganization

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is renaming the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy and Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ASTP/ONC) as part of a reorganization plan announced July 25 aimed at streamlining and strengthening data, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI)-related functions within the agency.
