- June, 06, 2017
The board of directors of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) announced today that Robert R. Niccolini has been selected as the new president-elect designate for fiscal year 2019-20.
Niccolini, a shareholder with Ogletree Deakins, is co-chair of the firm’s Healthcare Practice group and represents management in employment litigation and labor disputes, with unique experience in the health care, technology, insurance, manufacturing, government contracting, hospitality and retail industries.
“I’ve worked with Rob for a number of years within AHLA and have nothing but the highest level of respect for his work ethic and commitment to our industry,” said AHLA Board President Charlene L. McGinty. “He is a thoughtful leader with great ideas that will continue to advance the mission of the association.”
Niccolini has been an active leader within AHLA. He has been chair of the Membership and Public Interest Committees, as well as the Labor and Employment Practice Group, and vice-chair of the Publications, Labor and Employment Practice Group. Over the years, Niccolini has been selected to speak at more than 20 AHLA programs and has also been published in both AHLA Connections magazine and the Journal of Health & Life Sciences.
“Rob’s tenure with AHLA and dedication to diversity and inclusion, and public interest within health law, is quite impressive,” said AHLA CEO David S. Cade. “He understands that labor and employment law are critical to the success of health care and will bring a unique perspective to the presidential role, allowing us to grow stronger as a respected leader within health law education.”
