AHLA Announces Production of New Video Docuseries on Health Care Data

AHLA, in collaboration with dBase Media, is producing a video docuseries that will shine a light on critical issues in health data usage, present cybersecurity best practices, and share tips for protecting health data.
Health Law Disruption: Cybersecurity and Emerging Data Risks will update viewers on the frequent changes in laws and regulations that impact health data and the requirements to keep that data safe. The series will feature analysis of important current requirements for the collection and transmission of health data by subject matter experts who understand how to manage data and protect valuable electronic assets.
The series will discuss key legal and regulatory developments and challenges/risks/liabilities related to:

- Privacy
- Compliance
- Risk Mitigation

This video series will provide health law professionals with guidance on how to successfully navigate and understand security risks inherent in health care data usage, and the complex regulatory framework governing health care data that helps to improve patient outcomes and drive business efficiencies and develop US health systems.
This docuseries will showcase the vital role of health law professionals in safeguarding health data and harnessing the potential of the data to improve the health care delivery system into the next generation, and highlights AHLA’s commitment to furthering excellence in health law.
Health Law Disruption: Cybersecurity and Emerging Data Risks will premiere at AHLA’s Annual Meeting, held June 27–29, 2022, in Chicago, IL, and will be hosted on the AHLA website. The series will also be promoted to health law professionals through AHLA's social media networks and an omnichannel promotional network managed by dBase Media.
