AHLA Announces New Launch of New Online Communities Platform
- August, 23, 2021
The American Health Law Association (AHLA) announces a new online communities platform for its membership. AHLA’s online community platform will be a one stop shop to connect members with everything AHLA. This means connecting membership with other members, leaders, mentors/mentees, AHLA volunteer opportunities, new publications, resources, and educational opportunities.
“This more modern, interactive, collaborative, and user-friendly platform will allow our membership to engage with each other and our Association in new and more meaningful ways,” comments Kerry B. Hoggard, AHLA’s Vice President of Membership. “This transition means utilizing new technology to address the needs and wants of our members.”
The new platform will include exciting new features such as an all-member community with topical content tags so members can follow and search for specific content, the opportunity to chat with other members, and a collaborative format for Practice Group members to engage with content.
In addition to these new features, AHLA is announcing new professional networks to support AHLA’s diverse membership, like Accessibility in Health Law, BIPOC in Health Law, LGBTQ+ in Health Law, and more. In line with AHLA’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, these networks will provide additional spaces for intentional and courageous conversations with thought leaders, allies, and each other.
AHLA will be hosting aNew Communities Demo webinar on Friday, August 27th at 2pm Eastern (calendar invitation), and launching the platform on August 31, 2021. To learn more about the platform and its exciting features, visit our Community Frequently Asked Questions page.
