New Website Mega Menu Launched
- July, 15, 2019
Redesigning With You In Mind
Recently, we rolled out a new “mega menu” on the AHLA website. This new menu was designed based on focus group discussions, data analytics, and your feedback, with the goal of ensuring you can quickly find the content you're looking for in fewer clicks. Easily view upcoming programs and webinars, conveniently navigate to your Practice Groups and Communities, and browse our publications and resources by categories, all from the new "mega menu".
Coupled with the new website search center introduced earlier this year, we are making it easier for you to search, discover, and learn from our content in a fraction of the time. And we’re just getting started! Last month we kicked off two projects, and we’re putting our membership at the center of each: a database optimization project and a website content management migration project.
Our database is the lifeblood of the Association, and you interact with it any time you come to the website. Whether it’s logging in to view Practice Group content, registering for an upcoming program or webinar, or adjusting your preferences to ensure we can deliver tailored content to you, these member-related processes will be reviewed, streamlined, and simplified. In the age of Amazon and knowing how busy our members’ day-to-day lives are, we want to make your interactions with AHLA quick and easy.
We also want to make use of the latest website technology to help support these interactions and therefore, we will migrate our website to a new website content management platform over the next 9 to 12 months. This is not just a facelift with new graphics; this is about redesigning the website and harnessing the newest technology to better serve you. What does this mean? It means a more personalized experience on our website that tailors content to you based on your preferences, where other resources are suggested that match what you are trying to find on the website, and where content is aggregated to make your experience on our website quicker and more meaningful.
We are excited for the website improvements we made over the last couple of months and look forward to engaging various members over the coming months to help us improve the member experience through these two projects. If you have any questions or suggestions on how we can improve the member experience, please let us know at [email protected].
