AHLA’s Unconscious Bias Training for Arbitrators
AHLA is deeply committed to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA). In principle and practice, we value and actively promote diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible participation within our Association for all staff and members. This commitment is a fundamental part of our identity and mission, guiding us as we lead health law to excellence through education, information, and dialogue.
We are excited to announce a crucial initiative that aligns perfectly with these values - Unconscious Bias Training for our arbitrators. In arbitration, fairness is paramount, and unconscious biases can unwittingly compromise that fairness. Our partnership with The Diversity Movement (TDM) is a game-changer, ensuring our arbitrators are equipped to make impartial decisions, enhancing the quality of arbitration and reinforcing our commitment to justice.
Key benefits of this training include:
- Greater impartiality.
- Strengthened credibility of AHLA’s arbitration process.
- Greater client satisfaction and trust.
- A competitive edge in a socially aware legal landscape.
The initial virtual training sessions feature a TDM expert and a complimentary copy of The Inclusive Language Handbook for all attendees. Recordings will be available post-session for convenience.
Attendees receive a 10% discount on TDM’s digital courses, including their unconscious bias course, as part of their ongoing professional development.
Your support makes this initiative possible. Together, we can ensure the AHLA leads the way in fair and unbiased arbitration.
Thank you for your commitment to justice.
