Women's Network—Don't Let a "Once In a Lifetime Pandemic" Be a Lifetime Problem for the Women Who Left the Workforce in 2020

As I write this article, we have just passed the one-year anniversary of the Public Health Emergency (PHE) declared by the Secretary of Health and Human Services as a result of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).¹ The Biden Administration has just indicated its intent to keep the PHE in place for the duration of 2021.² The impact of the PHE is visible on a daily basis—empty office buildings, schools, and arenas.
