First Reflections–The Joy of Our Fall In-Person Programs

As many of you may remember at this time last year, and in part because a large part of our mission is to provide a collegial forum for health information exchange, we cautiously worked to return to in-person programs. The first event since March 2020 was the September 2021 Fraud and Compliance Forum, at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, MD. The hotel staff and AHLA staff hammered out ways to adopt guidance provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and local authorities to keep us safe and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in public areas. While attendance was much smaller than years’ past, many of us braved our new methods of in-person learning and networking, both to support AHLA and out of sheer need for engagement with our friends and colleagues.
