First Reflections—Why I Give to AHLA

In March 2020, right as the pandemic began, my husband and I welcomed our first child, a little boy named Houston, to the world. If having a baby puts life in perspective, having a baby in a global pandemic REALLY puts life in perspective. The last 20 months have been a blur of newborn snuggles, baby firsts, Zoom calls, returning to (remote) work, and returning to (actual) work while navigating an ever-evolving set of COVID guidelines. At times it was lonely. At times it was overwhelming. At times it was wonderful.
