First Reflections—AHLA’s Practice Groups and Special Councils Prepare for a New Season

As numerous unmistakable signs and rites of spring unfold—blooming flowers, warm pollen-filled breezes, Daylight Savings time, and MLB’s Opening Day—AHLA’s Practice Groups, Task Forces, Affinity Groups (collectively, PGs), and Special Councils (SCs) are approaching the end of another year in which their volunteer members have delivered a wide variety of written and oral educational content addressing current and emerging hot topics in health care delivery and health law. On the eve of a new AHLA fiscal year (which runs from June 1 through May 31 of the following year), I’d like to recap the highlights of the PG and SC teams’ “season” over the past ten months. Their individual and collective accomplishments have been remarkable, particularly in view of the havoc the events of the last 12 months wreaked on all of our lives.
