IRS Issues Proposed Rule on Medicare Drug Negotiation Excise Tax

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is proposing substantive rules for imposing and calculating the excise tax that may be imposed on manufacturers, producers, or importers of designated drugs that fail to negotiate with Medicare on certain drug prices.
