OIG Oks Program for 14-Day Free Supply of Drug to Patients Experiencing Insurance Approval Delay

A pharmaceutical company’s program to provide a free 14-day supply of its drug to patients who experience a delay in their insurance approval process would not trigger sanctions, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said in an advisory opinion posted February 28.
