HHS Extends COVID-19 PHE for Additional 90 Days

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra has extended the public health emergency (PHE) for the COVID-19 pandemic for another 90 days.
The PHE, which was set to expire October 13, has been continually renewed since it was first put in place in early 2020.
The administration has previously pledged to provide 60 days notice before terminating the PHE.
