HHS Proposes New Round of Revisions to Disclosure Rules for Substance Use Disorder Records

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued November 28 a proposal (87 Fed. Reg. 74216) to revise privacy rules for substance use disorder (SUD) records to better align the so-called Part 2 regulations with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
