U.S. Court in Indiana Tosses Physician’s EMTALA, Contract Claims Against Hospital

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana granted October 17 summary judgment to Baptist Healthcare System in an action brought by an emergency room doctor alleging whistleblower retaliation under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) and various contract and tort claims under state law.
