U.S. Court in DC Orders CMS to Recalculate One Elevance Health Plan’s MA Star Rating, But Finds Other Plans Lack Standing

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) must recalculate one Elevance Health plan’s Medicare Advantage (MA) Star Rating after the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held June 7 that the agency used a methodology that contradicted its own regulations in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act.
