HHS, FTC Issue Warning to Hospitals, Telehealth Providers on Tracking Technology

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) sent a letter July 20 cautioning hospitals and telehealth providers that online tracking technologies integrated into their websites or mobile apps may be impermissibly disclosing consumers’ personal health data to third parties.
