Myra Selby, former associate justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, has a broadbased practice with a focus in the areas of corporate internal investigations, appellate practice, compliance counseling, complex litigation, risk management, strategic and other legal advice, based upon an understanding of the related business objectives, across various industry sectors. She serves in the role of advisor for large institutional clients as well as individuals.She is a trained and experienced commercial mediator and arbitrator.

Myra has the distinction of being both the first woman and the first African American to serve as an associate justice on the Indiana Supreme Court. While on the Court from January 1995-1999, Selby participated in several landmark decisions involving state property taxes, insurance and tort law reform. She authored more than 100 majority opinions receiving national recognition. Selby spearheaded efforts to increase the Court's accessibility to the public by expanding education and outreach activities. In 1999, the Indiana Supreme Court appointed Selby to chair its Commission on Race and Gender Fairness. The commission is charged with ensuring fairness and diversity in the legal system. She continues her tradition of service to the commission as a current member.

Melanie was the executive producer of our award-winning music video and anthem “Who We Are.” Of all the videos she has produced over her career, Melanie says “Who We Are” is the body of work she is most proud of because of the amazing people who are featured throughout.

With over 30 years of executive, operations and legal management in complex operating and start-up health-care organizations, Mr. Risner is able to leverage his broad legal and management background in large and small companies on a wide variety of professional and legal services, including organization creation and governance, management, risk analysis and prevention, regulatory compliance, merger and acquisition, compensation arrangements, and all other legal and financial transactions.

Serving as a panel member for the American Health Lawyers Association and for the American Arbitration Association, Mr. Risner sits as an arbitrator in complex healthcare and commercial cases. He advocates for alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, as an alternative to litigation. Working with some of the largest healthcare providers in the Southeast, and as a corporate lawyer working primarily in healthcare, Mr. Risner has developed expertise in all areas of Hospital/Physician transactions, including hospital management, Information management, and privacy and security.

Mr. Risner currently advises domestic and foreign companies on business strategy and law and works with all sizes of companies from start-ups to well-funded operating companies. Mr. Risner has served as COO (interim) of Advicare Corp., a Medicaid MCO in South Carolina), EVP/GC of MyLooks Inc. (a U.S.-based plastic surgery practice management company) and COO/General Counsel of U.S. Preventive Medicine, Inc. (a US-based health and wellness company). Mr. Risner served as Vice-President/General Counsel of several leading healthcare providers, including St. Vincent’s Health System, Sarasota Memorial Health System, Boca Raton Community Hospital and PlanetRx.com. Mr. Risner is Board-Certified in Health Law in Florida and holds licenses in both Florida and Tennessee. He has provided legal, business management and strategic consulting services to his clients on a wide variety of projects for over 25 years.

Glenn Waldman has been practicing law for more than four decades and leads Gunster’s AlternativeDispute Resolution practice group. He is a full-time arbitrator, mediator and court-appointed masteror magistrate.

He also serves on the faculty of the American Arbitration Associationand the American Health Law Association in which he provides training and continuing education to other arbitrators.

Glenn also serves as an expert witness on issues of claims for, or defenses to, attorneys’ fees and,separately, the standard of care for attorneys in Florida in matters of professional liability. Finally, Glenn is frequently appointed by courts to serve as a Special Master, General Magistrate,Custodian and/or Attorney Ad Litem in complex disputes.

Lisa D. Taylor is a founding partner with Inglesino Taylor in Boca Raton, Florida and Parsippany, New Jersey and concentrates in health care law. She also handles business transactions, employment, administrative proceedings and regulatory matters and litigation and represents professionals in disciplinary matters. Additionally, she serves as a neutral arbitrator and mediator and as an expert witness in health care disputes and professional proceedings.   

Ms. Taylor served two non-consecutive terms as the Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Health Law Section and was a member of the Section’s Board of Directors for twenty years before transitioning to the Section’s Emeritus Board in 2019.  Having held numerous leadership positions with the American Health Law Association of which she was elected a Fellow in 2021, she presently serves as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association Health Law Section and Chair of the Health Care Certification Committee of The Florida Bar. 

Ms. Taylor is listed in Best Lawyers In America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and has been repeatedly named one of the Top 50 Female New Jersey Super Lawyers and Top 100 New Jersey Super Lawyers.  She is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum which gives recognition to lawyers throughout the United States who have achieved a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) or more and is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.  In November 2016, she received the Ira Geller Award from Community Access Unlimited for zealous advocacy of the disabled and in December 2014, she received the Distinguished Service Award for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education from the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.  She received the Distinguished Service Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association Health and Hospital Law Section for service to the health bar and health industry in 2007 and in 2004, she was named as one of ten attorneys nationally recognized as Outstanding Physician Practice Lawyers by Nightingale's Healthcare News. In August 2005, she was named to the New Jersey Law Journal's list of leading women and minority attorneys.  

Geoff Drucker

Geoff Drucker is the Senior Director of the American Health Law Association’s Dispute Resolution Service.  He is an adjunct professor at the George Washington University School of Law, teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution.  Geoff is also on the Board of Directors of the NVMS Conflict Resolution Center in Fairfax, Virginia, and served three terms as President. 

Prior to joining AHLA, Geoff was the Director of Federal Programs for The McCammon Group and Chief Counsel for Dispute Resolution and Prevention for the U.S. Postal Service. 

Geoff has mediated under the aegis of the Superior Court of Washington, D.C. the federal government’s Shared Neutrals program, The McCammon Group, the Washington D.C. Office of Police Complaints, and currently, the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.  Geoff has also arbitrated employment and securities cases for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) since 2006.

Geoff’s publications include Resolving 21st Century Disputes: Best Practices for a Fast-Paced World (Prospecta Press 2012), a chapter on Dispute Resolution in Fundamentals of Health Law (7th Ed.) (AHLA 2018), and a chapter on Dispute Resolution Provisions in Health Care Contracting (1st Ed.) (AHLA 2021). 

Geoff received a B.A. with distinction from Stanford University in 1982, a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1985, and an M.S. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University in 1997.
