Georgia Appeals Court Reverses Summary Judgment for Radiologist in Misdiagnosis Case

The Georgia Court of Appeals vacated a grant of summary judgment to a radiologist accused of misreading a CT scan that may have led to a patient’s death. The appeals court found unresolved questions of fact as to whether the gross negligence standard of care under Georgia's emergency medical care statute applied and also as to causation.
