U.S. Court in California Says Meta, TikTok Must Face Action over Alleged Health Data Collection

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California refused January 17 to dismiss a proposed class action against Meta Platform, Inc. and TikTok, Inc. alleging they improperly acquired the confidential health information of users of telemedicine company Hey Favor, Inc. (Favor) through proprietary computer code installed on its website.
