Cardiologist and His Medical Practice Pay $6.5 Million to Settle Kickback Claims

Cardiologist Klaus Peter Rentrop and his medical practice Gramercy Cardiac Diagnostic Services P.C. have agreed to a $6.5 million settlement of allegations that they paid millions of dollars in kickbacks to physicians and their practices for patient referrals, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams announced September 18.
