Fifth Circuit Says Planned Parenthood Is Immune from FCA Whistleblower Action

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) was entitled to summary judgment in a whistleblower action alleging it violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by helping—through its in-house litigation department—several affiliates in Texas and Louisiana avoid repaying Medicaid funds after the states terminated the providers from their respective programs, the Fifth Circuit held February 26 in a per curiam decision.
