CMS Finalizes Rule to Account for Part C Days in Medicare DSH Calculation

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published June 9 a final rule (88 Fed. Reg. 37772) concerning the treatment of Part C (now known as Medicare Advantage (MA)) days in the Medicare fraction of the disproportionate share hospital (DSH) calculation for cost reporting periods starting before fiscal year (FY) 2014.
