ONC Proposes Certification Criteria for Public Health Entities, Payers to Further Data Exchange

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) issued July 10 a proposed rule that includes two sets of new health IT certification criteria for public health organizations and for payers to improve data exchange with health care providers.
