FTC Reaches Settlement with Private Equity Firm over Alleged Anticompetitive Roll-up Scheme

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced January 17 a settlement with private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe over allegations it engaged in an anticompetitive “roll up” scheme to consolidate and monopolize the anesthesiology market.
