Medicare, Medicaid Enrollees' Access to Behavioral Health Care Providers Is Limited, OIG Finds

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) should take more steps to encourage behavioral health providers to serve Medicare and Medicaid enrollees, including expanding coverage and implementing network adequacy standards for private plans in those programs, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said in a report released April 3.
