Fourth Circuit Says Hospital Must Face Former Patient’s Race Discrimination, Retaliation Claims

The Fourth Circuit revived February 5 a veteran’s race discrimination and retaliation claims against a Virginia hospital under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) after it terminated her as a patient. The appeals court, however, affirmed the dismissal of her disability discrimination claim.
