OCR Fines Eyewear Retailer $1.5 Million Following Data Breach Report

The Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) imposed a $1.5 million civil monetary penalty against Warby Parker, Inc. following an investigation of a data breach that compromised the protected health information (PHI) of nearly 200,000 customers of the eyewear manufacturer and online retailer, the agency announced February 20.
