House Panel Presses FTC Chair About Coordination with EU on Illumina-Grail Merger Challenge

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is pressing ahead with an investigation into whether the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) “improperly consult[ed]” with its European counterpart to block genetic sequencing firm Illumina Inc.’s acquisition of cancer detection company Grail.
