The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) want to scrutinize potential drivers of generic drug shortages with a request for information (RFI) seeking public input on how group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and drug wholesalers are impacting the market, including the pricing and availability of products, the agencies announced February 14.
