CMS Notifies Nearly One Million Medicare Beneficiaries of Data Breach

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is notifying almost a million Medicare beneficiaries that their protected health information may have been compromised as a result of a May 2023 data breach of contractor Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation’s (WPS’) MOVEit application, the agency said September 6.
