A change in Medicare coverage policy for certain brain imaging procedures would not affect a previously issued favorable advisory opinion that involved subsidizing certain Medicare cost-sharing obligations of participants in a clinical study related to Alzheimer’s disease, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said February 12.
