Walgreens Settles San Francisco’s Opioid Lawsuit for $230 Million

Walgreens Co. has agreed to pay nearly $230 million over 14 years after a federal judge in California last year found it liable on a public nuisance claim that its pharmacy practices substantially contributed to the opioid epidemic in the City of San Francisco.
