Agencies Extend Enforcement Discretion on No Surprises Act Payment Calculation

The Biden administration is extending enforcement discretion for health plans and issuers that calculate the qualified payment amount (QPA) for purposes of the No Surprises Act (NSA) independent dispute resolution (IDR) process under now vacated provisions of a July 2021 interim final rule.
