DME Company Owner Handed over Three Years in Prison for Fraud Scheme

Reginald Fullwood, Jr., who owned durable medical equipment (DME) company Jackson Medical Supply, was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison for conspiracy to defraud the United States, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi Patrick A. Lemon announced January 24.

According to court documents, Fullwood participated in a scheme to pay kickbacks to a marketer in exchange for completed doctors’ orders so that he could cause Jackson Medical Supply to bill Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans for orthotic braces that were medically unnecessary and/or ineligible for reimbursement.
