U.S. Court in DC Rejects Hospitals’ Challenge to Medicare Payment Formula for Teaching Costs

A group of not-for-profit teaching hospitals lost their bid March 27 for higher indirect medical education (IME) payments after the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia upheld Medicare’s formula for calculating the payments that included labor and delivery beds.
