Purdue Pharma, Sackler Family Bump Proposed Opioid Settlement to $7.4 Billion

The Sackler family and their company Purdue Pharma L.P., the manufacturer of OxyContin, would pay up to $7.4 billion under a new agreement to resolve state and local government litigation against them over the company’s role in fueling the opioid epidemic.
