CMS Proposes 3.7% Payment Hike for IRFs in FY 2024

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published April 7 (88 Fed. Reg 20950) a proposed rule updating Medicare payment policies under the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) Prospective Payment System (PPS) for fiscal year (FY) 2024 that would result in an overall payment hike of 3.7% (or $335 million) relative to payments in FY 2023.
