On October 24, 2023, the former Director of Medicare Risk Adjustment Analytics at HealthSun Health Plans, Inc. (HealthSun), was charged in a six count indictment with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Health Care Fraud and Wire Fraud, two counts of Wire Fraud, and three counts of Major Fraud Against the United States. HealthSun is a Medicare Advantage Organization (MAO) operating in the Miami, FL area.
