Continuing Education

AHLA offers Continuing Education Credits for this conference and all of our conferences. Participants will be able to receive credits for sessions they attend in-person.

IN-PERSON CREDITS: We offer CPE, CCB, and CLE credits. The maximum number of educational minutes 645. The number of credits vary based on the state and license type. 

CLE: The maximum number of credits available for IN-PERSON is 14.3 (including 1.0 of ethics) for a 60-minute state and 17.1 (including 1.2 of ethics) for a 50-minute state. Please note that the actual number of credits may vary from state to state. Please be aware that if we do not receive materials for a session, it will not be approved for credit. You will receive an email after the conference from [email protected]. This email includes a personalized link to submit your state license information and the sessions you attended. Be sure and track the sessions you attend using the handout onsite or the 'My Schedule' feature on the app. State-specific certificates will be emailed to you when you have submitted the online form and the conference has been approved.

CPE:  AHLA is a preferred provider with National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). The maximum number of credits available is 17.0.  If you are seeking CPE credit for this conference, please pick up the request form onsite, fill it out, and return it to the AHLA Registration area before you leave the conference. You will receive an email from AHLA when your certificate is ready.. Certificates will be available to download in our Education Center.

CCB:  AHLA is a preferred provider with Compliance Certification Board (CCB). The maximum number of credits available is 20.8.  If you are seeking CCB credit for this conference, please pick up the request form onsite, fill it out, and return it to the AHLA Registration area before you leave the conference. You will receive an email from AHLA when your certificate is ready, along with any approval information you may need. Certificates will be available to download in our Education Center.

RECORDED ON DEMAND CREDITS: Attendees of the live conference can also earn additional CLE and CCB credits for sessions you watch on demand. Recordings of the presentations are posted online about one week after the conference ends. Credits can be earned for sessions you watch on demand. If you have already earned the credits for the in-person session, you may not then earn additional credits by watching that session on demand. You can only earn credit for the session once. 

How to receive credit for ON DEMAND

  • Once the recordings have been posted after the conference, attendees can request additional credit. 
  • The on demand version of the conference will be available in our Education Center. You must be logged into our website to access it.  
  • In the Education Center, under 'My Transcript', you will find the conference title that includes 'on demand'.
  • During each video, a 'CE CODE' will appear twice. This code will be needed after the video is complete to complete the quiz.
  • If you are request CLE credits, you will receive an email from mcle-ahla@americanbar.org with a personalized link to fill out your on demand credits. For CCB credits, once you have completed each session you want credit for, click on the 'Certificate Accreditation' tab and check the box. Your certificate will be ready for download on the next tab. 

This conference is designed to address emerging regulatory trends, recent case law and legislative developments, and how they will affect legal and compliance practices in health care. Those seeking accounting credits should be familiar with the basic concepts of law and terminology associated with this area in order to obtain the full educational benefit of this conference. Introductory remarks, breaks, and receptions are not included in the computation of credit hours. The sessions, unless otherwise designated, are intermediate to advanced in level. There are no prerequisites required to register for this conference.
