U.S. Court in Ohio Allows Cyberattack Action to Proceed, But Trims Claims

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio dismissed January 26 negligence and breach of contact claims in a class action against a health system by patients whose information was potentially accessed during a cyberattack. However, the court allowed plaintiffs to pursue their claims for breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, and declaratory judgment.
